When you're looking for a photographer, you need the right person. You don't want someone who just clicks a shutter; you want a person who gives you the best experience possible to get the best photos possible. Not everyone with a camera is the right fit for your specific job.

First, it comes down to what you need exactly. What kind of photography are you after? Is it for a wedding, graduation, corporate headshots, or real estate? Once you figure that out, you can start your search.
But how do you determine which photographer is best for you? Usually, the "About" section gives some insight. Of course, no one is going to put themselves down in their own bio—everyone wants to be seen in the best light. While that makes sense, you should look deeper. Try to find reviews, testimonials, and a solid portfolio. If those are lacking, you probably won't get the best experience. To have a good experience, you need someone with actual experience.

You need someone who knows how to pose people, understands how to get the "big shot," and has a real eye for the craft. Good communication is just as important as the photos themselves.
When it comes to pricing, cost isn't the only indicator of quality, but it is often a barometer for a photographer's experience. You want to know they’ve done this before and can handle the pressure of your event.
