Right now, I’m in a season of life where I’m focused on growth. I want to excel in my career, in my relationships, and in the daily practices that shape who I am. But I’ve learned that the only true way to excel in anything is to see Jesus in everything.

Before, I used to chase improvement by relying on little tricks—mentally rehearsing how I’d act, pushing myself to try harder, or checking off more tasks. For my photography and videography business, that often looked like posting more on social media, networking intentionally, or dedicating time to serve others. All of these things are good, but if Christ isn’t at the center, they ultimately fall short. If the goal is only to “get better” without a heart rooted in love, then the effort won’t last.

That’s where I’m at now. I still have the same desire to excel in everything I do—I always have—but the difference today is my heart. I want to see Christ in every moment. I want my photography, storytelling, and creativity to come from a place of love, not just self-improvement. My focus is no longer simply, How can I get better? Instead, it’s How can I look and love more like Christ?

As long as I’m looking to God, I know I can trust Him with the outcome. Whether in my work, my business, or my relationships, my goal is to reflect His love through everything I do. Praise God.
